If you don't know...Arlen Specter is a Republican Senator from Pennsylvania. He's had a very long political career...he even served on the Warren Commission that investigated the assassination of JFK...and he needs to Shut The Fuck Up!
His big crusade is the Patriots 'spygate' scandal. He railed against the Pats, who beat his hometown Eagles in the Super Bowl, BTW. Now he's threatening to have the Senate examine the NFL Anti-Trust exemption.
We're mired in Iraq. Gas is $4/gallon. The housing market is collapsing and oh yeah, the US Dollar is virtually useless...so of course the Senate needs to worry about the NFL.
STFU Arlen...seriously...do something important.

There are those of you who live your entire life by what ESPN tells you...well, let me tell YOU something about your beloved ESPN: They Blow Ass!
Let me expound upon this...first of all, ESPN claims to be the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" but when it comes time to cover sports, they dedicate about 90% of their coverage to the teams in the Northeast Corridor. They have the same variety as a local sports broadcast out of Hartford, CT. Not that I don't love hearing about the Red Sox, Yankees and Mets...but there is a lot more going on worldwide.
Just as an example, the fair state of California is home to 5 MLB teams, 4 NBA teams, 3 NHL teams and 3 NFL teams...a pretty good percentage. But ESPN barely notices any of them.
Pedro Gomez following Barry Bonds the past 2 years doesn't really qualify as coverage of the teams, but more a hope that Barry would blow a gasket and you wouldn't want to miss that. Sort of how the Paparazzi don't want to miss if Britney, Lindsey or Paris get drunk, fall down, lose their sanity or show their naughty bits.
So why today, out of nowhere, am I ranting about ESPN? I had recorded the Formula 1 race that started at 4am PT and as I'm watching the pre-race show, I log onto espn.com to see when teams are playing today...and they have a headline that tells me Massa and Raikkonen won the Grand Prix. WTF? Today is the day they decide to expand their auto racing coverage beyond what Dale, Jr. and Tony Stewart did in the left turn only world of NASCAR.
That is why ESPN blows ass. FUCK YOU ESPN!

Raise your fucking kids. You are responsible for them and their actions. I was hipped to
this story today, which was in the 5pm newscast.
For reasons I won't go into here, I did NOT put it in the promo for the show...but now that I'm reading the article on CNN, I'm angry. The gist of my irritation:
A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday. My first thought was: What the hell is wrong with these kids? Then I read on to this:
The children, ages 8 to 10, were apparently mad at the teacher because she had scolded one of them for standing on a chair, Tanner said.So they brought a knife, handcuffs and duct tape to attack their teacher because she scolded one of them for standing on a chair?!? Here's the problem: their parents.
There is a whole generation out there who are growing up with parents who NEVER correct them for ANYTHING. So the first time anyone points out that the little precious kiddies should or should not be doing something, they make a plan to stab them?
Sure this is a very extreme case, but it points to the bigger problem. Parents who suck make the world a horrible place for everyone else.
Little kids are wild animals and your duty as a parent is to domesticate them. That means you give them boundaries. You punish them when they violate those boundaries and you let them know that you are there to support them and help them work through their problems.
The television, the internet and the Xbox are not substitutes, they are pacifiers. You brought the kids into the world, give them the tools they need to be productive, successful individuals who can operate in society.
I know you're a selfish asshole, but for fuck sake, do it for your own kids.

This is my blog with literally 3 or 4 readers...and this is NOT directed toward them, but I wanted to get this off my chest....
FUCK YOU! Yeah, that's right FUCK YOU! I want to scream that at people at least 3 times every single day...but I don't...because then I'd get reprimanded for not behaving professionally.
To the people who think its a great idea to let folks surf the net for porn at the library: FUCK YOU!
To the people who tell me about your children and why the world needs to be tailored to them: FUCK YOU!
To anyone who says I shouldn't use certain words because they
COULD BE offended: FUCK YOU!
To anyone who muzzles creativity: FUCK YOU!
To anyone who talks
REALLY LOUD on their cell phone at the grocery store, telling me and everyone else their life story: FUCK YOU!
To anyone who is a rude prick to people working in the service industry: FUCK YOU!
And finally if I missed anyone who deserved it...FUCK YOU TOO!
Oddly enough, I feel better....so FUCK YOU!
Ok...if you missed it, today we all learned about the dude from Ohio who admitted to cops (yeah, I called them cops, fuck you if you don't like it...promo writer rant there, sorry) ANYWAY, he admitted to cops that
he had sex with his picnic table.
All the details from the local paper, including how he managed to rape his own picnic table, in case you were wondering. Big props to A-B for calling metal table. Did I mention he was raping his picnic table on his back porch, which has a view of a school?
Last year, a bloke from Scotland was caught
having sex with a bicycle.
He at least had the decency to take his carnal activities inside...but the room cleaners at his hostel came in using a master key and caught him. NOW he's on the sex offender registry. Sound crazy? Sex offender registry for having sex with a bicycle in his room?
He is not the first man to be convicted of a sexual offence involving an inanimate object, however. Karl Watkins, an electrician, was jailed for having sex with pavements in Redditch, Worcs, in 1993.
That's what people are talking about...we'll just ignore the crazy lady who stole a 1 day old baby from a Florida hospital.

By now, most have heard the story of this kid. His name is Kevin Hart and he's a senior at Fernley High School in Nevada.
He staged a big assembly at his school, complete with local media, to announce where he would be playing college football. He chose Cal over Oregon, the problem? He was never recruited by either school.
In the end, Kevin Hart admitted the made the whole thing up. As I now look at the picture, I can see the fear in the expression on his face.
We can all think back to a time in our life...usually between the ages of 15 and 21 where we so desperately wanted something that we thought we'd do anything to make it real. My best guess is that's what happened to Kevin Hart.
Oregon coach Mike Belotti said "Whatever happens, it's a shame" and Cal coach Jeff Tedford added "It was total news to me, and it's unfortunate that that whole situation is what it is" What is evident to me is Kevin Hart planned this out...but only to the assembly.
Did he think that by holding this assembly/press conference, Cal would offer him a scholarship? Did he hope to attract interest from other schools? Only he knows the answer to that.
My best guess is he wanted this so bad that he lost all sense of perspective. As much as we'd all like to blast him for this whole farce, lets not forget that he is a troubled teenager who needs a psychologist and lots of therapy.
Just this once, I'm not gonna judge.

There has been a fair amount of talk this election about history being made, breaking down walls, a black candidate and a woman...how the country has grown.
Then I looked at the breakdown of exit polling on Super Tuesday.
59% of women voted for Hillary Clinton. She also did very well with whites over 45 years old and was dominant among Latino voters.
Barack Obama did well with young white voters and had a slight edge over Hillary Clinton in male voters. For some reason, Black voters are N/A.
People are NOT color blind...their prejudices are NOT gone...and those prejudices don't exist only in white voters.
